Campaign Overview

Our Vision for Region 12

Having worked for the Post Office since 1989, I am fully aware of the daily challenges our members face against a management group that constantly fails to uphold the terms of our National Agreement.

In addition to those experiences, I have been extremely diligent in attending every possible training seminar offered by the NALC since I became a NALC union representative in 2004.  My experience and education are unparalleled.

Having been appointed to the NBA position in 2020, I guided Region 12 through a global pandemic. I have doubled the NALC representatives processing grievances for the Disputed Resolution Process (DRP).  I have also expanded the number of NALC arbitration advocates as well as the number of arbitrators assigned to our panel while increasing the region’s winning percentage by 40%.

While working with the branches, we have increased the Letter Carrier Political Fund (LCPF) contributions and the number of carriers donating, placing the region second in the entire country.

My efforts to increase specialized training have led to the creation of the very first Shop Steward Academy in the region.  My annual Rap Sessions in Atlantic City have also been expanded to offer a larger variety of interactive classes incorporating new technologies.

At the request of the branches, my staff and I have traveled to as many events as possible to include Million-Mile Awards, HERO awards, retirement banquets, and the installation of officers.  We have also traveled to host more training than has ever been offered before to include OWCP, retirement, route inspections, Article 15 and LMOU negotiations.

I also host monthly meetings with the Region 12 Branch Presidents via Webex to relay important information from NALC Headquarters and address any issues the presidents may need assistance with so they can relay the information to the membership.

Having started as an RAA in the Region 12 office in 2016, I have built relationships with many of the union representatives and management counterparts throughout the USPS districts.  The working relationship I have developed with these representatives has allowed an avenue for me to meet and work on the elimination of a large backlog of grievances that some of the branches had accumulated.

My integrity, education, communication, and experience speak volumes along with the negotiating skills I have developed.

In the years ahead, my goal is to continue to develop and offer additional training for the membership while working with the branches to mentor new shop stewards, branch officers, Step B Representatives, and arbitration advocates.  Together we can build on the progress we have made and continue to keep Region 12 moving forward in a positive direction.
